Thank you!

We are toast- but a good kind of toast (if you’re GF, then you’re probably Udi’s brand, which tastes better as toast anyway).  lol Apparently, I’m also delirious.  ;)

It was a GREAT weekend!  The weather was perfect, and we loved meeting you/rekindling friendships.  We thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.

We hope you’ve discovered some new shops to love, new yarn to fondle and made some friends along the way.

Give us a few days to collect the passports from all the shops, then we will announce the winners!

Drum roll, please………………………

During the Wool Walk, all participating shops will be offering 20% off all in-stock yarn!  We hope this adds a little bit of happiness to your step while you’re ‘Walking’
We can’t wait to see you all this Thursday through Sunday!

Remember, many shops will be hosting trunk shows and events sponsored by yarn companies, as well as having in-house prize baskets to win.  Let’s hope for GREAT weather!

Some last minute info

There are a couple of things we want to make sure you are all aware of:

Wooly Monmouth in Red Bank has closed, therefore they have been taken off the site.  We wish her well in her new chapter in life, and know we will be hearing from her in some incarnation in the future!

Unfortunately, Accents on Knits in Morristown is no longer part of the Wool Walk. For participants, this means:

1. You are certainly welcome to visit Accents on Knits during the Walk or at any other time, but
2. You do not need to visit Accents on Knits and get their passport stamp to be eligible for the grand prize basket for visiting every store.
3. A visit to Accents on Knits will not count towards any other prize levels. (eg. if you visit 9 Wool Walk stores and Accents on Knits, you will still need to visit one more store to move from basket #3 to basket #4.)
4. Finished passports must be returned to one of the other 17 stores on the Walk to be entered into any of the drawings.

We apologize for the last minute notice and any inconvenience this may cause.

Printable shop list!

We now have a printable shop list!  Thanks to my daughter and her Mac, Wool Walkers can go to the shop hours & noms page and print out the list of shops with all their pertinent info.  We hope this helps make for an easier and more enjoyable Walk!

Look for the ‘printable WoolWalk list’ link at the top of that page, click it, and print away!  You can also save the pdf to your smartphone to open at any time- even when there’s no internet access!

All About Ewe, too

All About Ewe

5 Westfield Ave.

(entrance on Madison Hill Rd. Behind the cleaners)

We began our 3rd year in business on March 6th.  Whoever said ‘time flies when you’re having fun’ was right. We are having a blast! Since we opened our doors, the shop has grown by leaps and bounds. We stock an extensive array of fingering /sock weight yarns in every conceivable fiber and combination.  We carry the Valley Yarns line from Webs, and we have expanded our fiber selection for spinners and felters.  Bags, notions, books, spinning wheels- you name it, we have it!

All About Ewe holds classes in spinning- both drop spindle and wheel, rigid heddle weaving, and all aspects of knitting and crochet.
Some of the lines we carry are exclusive to our shop.  This includes Marianated Yarns, Cabernet Creek Farm and Yarn Hollow.  We are one of only two shops in New Jersey that carry Three Irish Girls. We have many other brands and yarns- from acrylics for washable baby items to cashmere and silk for heirloom knitting.  Our shop also carries the full line of ChiaoGoo interchangeable needles! Our ever popular sweater quantity of yarn sale bags are always available, as well as many great finds in the sale bin.

For spinning, we have Ashford and Schacht wheels and accessories, spindles by Hearthwise and Greensleeves, and fiber from Frabjous, Mountain Colors, Dyeabolical, Yarn Hollow and more. We also carry a variety of locally sourced undyed, washed fiber and roving.

As always, we have free coffee and tea, wi-fi and off street parking, and we are handicapped accessible. And when you come, don’t forget to check out the bathroom- it’s full of sheepy goodness!

All About Ewe is just a few minutes from Garden State Parkway exit 135. The shop is behind Colonial Cleaners (which closed earlier this year, but we didn’t).   J Just turn onto Madison Hill Rd. and pull into our lot!
